Advantages of high compatibility die-casting material

 

Using ADC12/AlSi9Cu3 die-casting aluminum alloy (custom material grades can be specified as needed), it possesses three core characteristics:

Lightweighting enhancement

The density is only 1/3 of cast iron, compared to traditional cast iron gearbox housings, it reduces weight by 35%-42%, directly contributing to a 5%-8% improvement in vehicle fuel economy;

Mechanical strength

After T6 heat treatment, the tensile strength is ≥ 220 MPa and the Brinell hardness is ≥ 80 HB, capable of stably bearing the input torque load within 450 N・m during the gearbox operation;

Environmental adaptability

It has excellent resistance to oil corrosion (suitable for ATF gearbox oil long-term immersion) and temperature stability, capable of adapting to extreme working conditions ranging from -40℃ to 150℃.

High-pressure die casting

Using 1250T-2500T die casting machines, the die-casting pressure is controlled at 80-120 MPa, ensuring the complete filling of complex cavities (gear cavities, oil passage channels, bearing installation positions), with a forming yield of over 98.5%;

Precise dimension control

The mold accuracy reaches IT7 level, and the product size tolerance complies with GB/T 1804-m standard. The coaxiality of key installation holes is ≤ 0.05mm, ensuring precise assembly with the internal gears and shaft systems of the transmission;

Surface and post-treatment

After forming, the parts undergo sandblasting / chemical passivation treatment, with surface roughness Ra ≤ 1.6 μm. At the same time, customized surface protection processes such as anodizing and electrophoresis can be provided as per demand, enhancing corrosion resistance.

Ultra-seal performance

The flatness of the joint surface of the housing is ≤ 0.02mm/100mm. The dedicated sealing groove design ensures that the leakage is ≤ 10Pa·m³/s under a 100kPa air pressure test, ensuring no leakage of transmission oil;

Efficient heat dissipation assistance

The aluminum alloy material has a thermal conductivity of 110W/(m·K). Combined with the external heat dissipation ribs (integrated as needed) design, it can accelerate the heat dissipation inside the transmission and reduce the temperature fluctuation of the oil;

Impact resistance and durability

After 100,000 cycles of load impact tests, the housing shows no failure such as cracks or deformations, meeting the usage requirements of the vehicle throughout its entire life cycle (≥ 300,000 kilometers).
