Strong and lightweight

 

The Roadside Lampshade are exposed to the elements for a long time, not only having to withstand the pressure of heavy rain and snow, but also being subjected to the impact of flying stones from vehicle movements. Aluminum casting uses high pressure to force molten aluminum into precise molds, resulting in a tightly structured and denser cast product with an tensile strength of over 200 MPa, which can easily withstand daily impacts without deforming or cracking. Compared with traditional cast iron lamp covers, the density of aluminum is only 2.7 g/cm³, less than one-third of cast iron. This significantly reduces the weight of the aluminum casting lamp cover - a 30-cm-diameter street lamp cover can weigh between 1.5 and 2 kg. This not only reduces the load on the lamp pole but also enables installation workers to complete the job without the need for heavy equipment, significantly improving construction efficiency and safety.

Excellent heat dissipation performance

 

The lifespan of LED light beads is closely related to the working temperature. For every 10℃ increase in temperature, their lifespan may be shortened by 30%. Aluminum alloy itself has excellent heat conductivity, with a thermal conductivity of up to 120-150 W/(m·K). The dense structure formed by the aluminum die-casting process further optimizes the heat conduction efficiency. During production, we design molds to reserve uniform heat dissipation ribs on the inner wall of the lamp cover. These ribs are closely attached to the lamp body and can quickly conduct the heat generated by the LED to the surface of the lamp cover, which is then dispersed into the air through air convection. Data shows that for street lamps with aluminum die-cast lamp covers, the working temperature of the light beads can be reduced by 15-20℃ compared to those with plastic lamp covers, extending the lifespan of the LED light beads from 30,000 hours to over 50,000 hours, significantly reducing the maintenance costs in the later stage.

Precise optical design

 

Modern urban lighting has increasingly strict requirements for the accuracy of light. The lamp covers need to project light onto the road surface at the preset angles through specific curved surfaces and prism structures, ensuring uniform brightness on the road and avoiding interference with surrounding residents. The aluminum die-casting process can achieve IT12-level dimensional accuracy, with surface roughness controlled at Ra 3.2-6.3 μm. It can perfectly replicate the fine optical structures on the mold. Whether it is the curved surface design for achieving the "bat-wing" light distribution curve or the prism array for anti-glare, they can all be formed through a single die-casting process, without the need for subsequent complex processing. This not only ensures the stability of optical performance but also reduces the error risk in the production process.

Plastic shades are prone to aging, brittleness and deformation under high temperatures, with a service life usually less than 3 years; iron shades are heavy, easy to rust and have poor impact resistance. Leveraging the low density of aluminum alloy (2.7g/cm³), aluminum die-cast lamp shades achieve lightweight-products with a 30cm diameter weigh only 1.5-2kg, reducing the load on lamp poles. Meanwhile, with a tensile strength exceeding 200MPa, they can resist flying stone impacts and vehicle scratches. Combined with anodizing treatment, their weather resistance can reach 5-8 years, perfectly adapting to complex outdoor environments.

Are aluminum die-cast lamp shades easily damaged in humid and dusty outdoor environments?

They have excellent environmental adaptability. For humid environments, an integrated die-casting process is adopted, with no splicing gaps, preventing rainwater and moisture from seeping into the lamp body; the surface anodizing treatment forms an oxide film of 5-10μm thickness, with salt spray corrosion resistance of over 500 hours, suitable for humid coastal areas. To deal with sand and dust, the shade surface uses smooth electrostatic spraying to reduce sand adhesion, and the tight sealing structure can prevent sand and dust from entering the lamp body and abrading LED bulbs, ensuring long-term stable operation even in grassland dusty areas.

Is the installation and maintenance cost of aluminum die-cast lamp shades high?

The cost is significantly lower than that of traditional materials. For installation, the lightweight feature (single weight 1-2kg) allows workers to complete replacement without heavy equipment alone, reducing traffic control time by more than 50% during main road lamp maintenance. For maintenance, due to strong weather resistance and long service life, the annual maintenance cost of aluminum die-cast lamp shades is only 1/3 of plastic shades and 1/2 of iron shades. The leftover materials generated during production can be 100% recycled and remelted, and the recycling energy consumption is only 5% of primary aluminum production.
